Marie Adamian is one of those contemporary artists who work in a variety of genres and techniques, from silk painting to oil on canvas.The stylistic versatility allows the Artist to give her personal, yet very diverse expression to her artistic mentality in each of her works.
Marie lives and works in Yerevan. An architect by education, she now has found her herself in art. Nevertheless, Marie's profession has left an important impact on her works, manifest in clarity of structure, bold lines, correct perspectives and compositions of curves, as well as the particular charm of her architectural landscapes.
Since 2003 Marie has taken part in 42 group exhibitions, in Armenia and Artsakh as well as in the United Kingdom, Portugal, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and currently in the International Graphic Biennale in Romania, where Marie is the first representative of Armenia.
Marie has had five individual exhibitions in Yerevan.
She is a member of the Armenian Union of Artists and International Organisation of Silk Artists.
The artist has taught silk painting to the students of Zatik orphanage and currently teaches drawing and painting at AYB senior school.
In 2007 she participated and presented Armenia in the International Silk Painters Festival in Essex, United Kingdom.
In 2009 Marie participated in the exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Yerevan and donated one of her silk paintings “The Tree of Life” to the Museum of Yerevan’s History.
